The openGPSoC project came to life in September 2012 after a conversation at NHS Hack Day ’2′ in Liverpool. The idea of a fully open source GP clinical system has been suggested and discussed many times in the past, however due to the stringent requirements of any such software it is recognised as a very hard thing to try to achieve. While we recognised this difficulty, we also felt there were a number of opportunities at present which might make such a project possible.

This is a Open Source Electornic Medical Records (EMR) & Public Health Management System for Small Clinics.

It might be even suited for speciality medical practice after some customisation.

It is developed with Python, Django and Dojo

For Development the code uses sqlite3 database, but with Django DB backend we can extend this to any database ( PostgresSQL is preferred ).

CARE3G plans to be the third generation of CARE2X. It doesn't conflicts with CARE2X development and it doesn't intend to be a fork of it but rather its future. We envisage this branch as a big step forward without breaking the current development of Care2X and its current users around the globe.

The main objective of FreeMedForms is to create a highly dynamic EMR manager where patient files are defined by a set of XML scripted files. Interoperability and internationalization are main objectives too.

FreeMedForms is intended to be used:

  • in general medical practice (unique doctor office, groups),
  • in clinics and hospitals,
  • in clinical research groups.

This is an Open Source Practice Management System (PMS) integrated with VistA, the electronic health record and health information system originally developed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Gestion de cabinet médicaux (GECAMed)

The GECAMed “Gestion de cabinet médicaux” project was initially started after the bankruptcy of a commercial software company in Luxembourg, which provided software for patient data management.

The consequece was that all physicians using this software found themselves in a difficult situation. There was no longer any support for their medical cabinet management software, while their electronic patient records were in danger to be lost or become inaccessable.
