universAAL

Rating:
No votes yet

As the European population ages, more support is needed with fewer hands to cater for their needs. There is a huge market potential for Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) solutions, but adoption is limited because they require significant resources for implementation.

To address this, universAAL will produce an open platform that provides a standardized approach making it technically feasible and economically viable to develop AAL solutions.

This project has been partially funded with support from the EC.

Usagi

No votes yet

Usagi is a software tool created by the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) team and is used to help in the process of mapping codes from a source system into the standard terminologies stored in the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Vocabulary (http://www.ohdsi.org/data-standardization/vocabulary-resources/).

Utilities For Patient Data Exchange (UPDE)

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 4.5 (2 votes)

Utilities for Patient Data Exchange. A parser for text files to use with some of the utilities provided by the DCMTK from Offis. The purpose is to provide a basic DICOM Modality Worklist Management SCP.

V3D-Viewer

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 4 (3 votes)

V3D-Viewer is a DICOM and "Philips V3D 3DRA" Medical Volume Viewer based on .NET and the VTK library. With marching cubes, 3d planes and (3D texture) volume rendering, including histogram transparency and intensity curve selection tool.

ViMeT

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 3 (7 votes)

Virtual Medical Training (ViMeT) is an object-oriented framework that uses virtual reality to simulate medical training.

VistA-Edge Practice Management System

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 2.4 (8 votes)

This is an Open Source Practice Management System (PMS) integrated with VistA, the electronic health record and health information system originally developed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Visualization Toolkit (VTK)

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 2.3 (6 votes)

The Visualization Toolkit (VTK) is an open-source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization. It consists of a C++ class library and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. VTK supports a wide variety of visualization algorithms including scalar, vector, tensor, texture, and volumetric methods, as well as advanced modeling techniques such as implicit modeling, polygon reduction, mesh smoothing, cutting, contouring, and Delaunay triangulation.

Voreen

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 3.3 (6 votes)

Voreen is an open source rapid application development framework for the interactive visualization and analysis of multi-modal volumetric data sets. It provides GPU-based volume rendering and data analysis techniques and offers high flexibility when developing new analysis workflows in collaboration with domain experts. The Voreen framework consists of a multi-platform C++ library, which can be easily integrated into existing applications, and a Qt-based stand-alone application.

VTKEdge

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 3.7 (7 votes)

VTKEdge is no longer under active development, as its functionality has been incorporated into the Visualization Toolkit (VTK). The VTKEdge project created a library of advanced visualization and data processing techniques that complemented VTK. The custom modules to enable the use of these techniques within ParaView have also been incorporated into VTK.

Vurtigo

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 3 (3 votes)

Vurtigo is a four-dimensional (3D + time) real-time visualization software for guiding cardiovascular interventions. It is designed to be part of a pipeline that can connect it to a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, actively tracked catheters, and navigational devices.

Written in C++ under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1, Vurtigo features a plug-in based architecture, allowing developers to extend the software using an interface to manipulate objects within Vurtigo. The software runs on Win32, Linux and Mac OS X.
