Ripple Foundation is a clinically led team working towards and supporting the move to an open platform fit for 21st century health and care. Supporting open source, open standards and an open architecture that can be used worldwide.
We are supporting those people who are working to change 21st century health and care. They include clinical, business and technical leaders who have a need and/ or want to service that need.
The Apperta Foundation is a not-for-profit, non-dividend paying community interest company founded by health professionals in 2015 to improve technology in health and social care. We bring open products and services to market that truly transform the delivery of care for clinicians and patients.
We have been commissioned by NHS England to support the delivery of the Code4Health initiative to give patients, carers and care professionals knowledge and tools to help them understand, use and design digital systems to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
Open Health Care make digital tools that help clinicians to deliver better care.
We believe that the tools clinicians use to do their job should be so good they couldn’t live without them.
We believe that the only way to deliver services that good, is to design them around the needs of the clinicians who use them.
Code4Health is a programme managed by NHS England to enable the best use to be made of digital tools and technology to deliver safe, high quality, efficient and compassionate care. It aims to educate and inform all participants in the health and care community: citizens, patients, carers, health, care and digital professionals about the possibilities digital technologies open up in health and care and equip them with the tools, knowledge and skills to work together to develop and implement high quality digital solutions.
Neova Health do clever things in health and social care, solving real world problems with open source technology.
The Neova Health platform and modules create new ways of managing and visualising activity. We empower patients, clinicians, managers and commissioners with real time information, engaging and empowering each of these in ensuring high quality and safe care.
For those who aren't familiar with it, NHS Hack Day is a relaxed and free-form software development day, run as an unconference, and allowing participants to pitch their ideas and NHS problems to the audience of developers and Health IT specialists. After pitching, teams form organically and people start working on their solutions. On the Sunday, work continues, and then the work is presented to the judging panel.
Following the success of the first NHS England Open Source Programme Open Day in London this June, we are returning for a second event this November, in Newcastle.
