The community developing, implementing, and using 'open source' healthcare software applications and business solutions continues to grow. There are now hundreds, if not thousands, of sites containing information about this 'open' health community and related open source software, technologies, communities, and solutions spread across the web.

The foss-for-health.org web portal aims to build a FOSS for eHealth Online Community - a venue for networking and exchanging ideas and experience on FOSS use, best practices and business models for sustainability aside from providing online support to FOSS adopters and making available FOSS resources. Foss-for-health.org is part of the Open Source and Standards PCTA (PANACeA Common Thematic Activities) that hopes to help create awareness of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in eHealth, promote its use and build both capacity and support for those starting to adopt it.

Open Health Tools has established a software repository that is independent of, but complementary to the Open Health Charter Projects. Open Health Forge contains software that has been developed by various persons or organizations – including software developed by or for various health care agencies - who may or may not be OHT members.
